- Technology The MDX comes with a built-in display that is compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The BMW features only Apple CarPlay® compatibility, while Android Auto™ is unavailable.
The six angled cameras in the MDX give you plenty of confidence and situational awareness but not in the case with the BMW, where the cameras are optional. The active sound control on the Acura controls the engine noise and gives you a peaceful ride, unlike the BMW X5. The high trim MDX comes equipped with a CD-MP3 decoder, which is not available on the BMW X5.
- Safety The Acura vehicle comes with a modified braking assist with a force electronic brake distribution for a smooth and stable drive on wet surfaces. The premium luxury trims of the Acura MDX come with an anti-locking braking system that helps maximize the stability of the in most conditions.
The luxury SUV is available with front- and rear- parking sensors which alert the driver by producing a beeping sound when approaching a nearby object, reducing the risk of collision. The BMW X5 also houses several safety tech features but does not match up with the Acura MDX.
